Jehovah Tsaba: The LORD who fights for you.
Exodus 14:14 The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.
The Bible says in Exodus 14:14, that the LORD will fight for you while you only need to keep silent and remain calm.
Our theme scripture mentions clearly that the LORD will fight for us. However, we must understand that God through his word in Deutronomy 30:15, has given us a choice in this life, the liberty to choose either life or death, prosperity or destruction.
Therefore, we must place it in our hearts to choose life, because the Bible advises us to choose life. What is life you ask? Simple, John 14:6 Jesus is the way, the truth and THE LIFE, Halleluyah!
God has told us that he owns our battles. He says it clearly in 2 Chronicles 20:15 that the battle belongs to him. This simply means we must understand that God wants us to relax, take a chill pill and let him fight for us. Why, you ask? Well, because he first loved us according to his word in 1 John 4:19 and also because since he loves us we have become more than conquerors, not just conquerors but more than that according to his word in Romans 8:37.
The name Jehovah Tshaba means "The LORD our warrior". God has made it clear through his word that he is willing to fight for us if we choose life. This life of being more than a conqueror begins from understanding who this God am talking about is. Once you have an understanding of who this God is, the next step is to believe that he, through his mighty saving power can do for you the promises written down in the Bible. Why do I emphasise his promises in the Bible, you ask? Well, because ALL his promises are Yes and Amen.
How to let God fight for you
You might be asking yourself, how do you then let God fight for you? The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5 to trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding.
So the question is, Do you trust in God? Let me give you a simple analogy to think about. Do you trust that the sun is going to rise tomorrow? Dumb question, right? The obvious answer to this is a YES. Now that's the same trust you must have in this God am talking about.
Fisrt step to all this is understanding who this God is. The good news is the Bible has given us a starting point in John 1:1.
The more you read about this God in his word the more you shall understand him. Once you do understand him, please remember that he is love and he has loved you even before you loved him. So let God fight your battles, remember what he has said in Exodus 14:14 and walk in love.
